The Tibetan Buddhist Monks from Drepung Loseling Monastery in India will construct the White Tara sand mandala painting at Unity North in Marietta. Millions of grains of colored sand are laid into place by the Monks in this ancient spritual art form in order to purify and heal the environment and its inhabitants. There will also be a community sand mandala where guests are encouraged to try creating a mandala using the Tibetan tools. Watching the Monks during construction is free and appropriate for all ages.
